Nice email. Had an applicant pool of 200.

I called this morning because I'd heard nothing from them. And because, y'know, I only have to make a decision by Tuesday! Sounds like not all rejections have gone out yet. Pleasant program assistant, but I am not at all impressed with this program's notification process. A little respect, please. Anyway, I'm accepting elsewhere--someplace with far less humidity, thankgod.

Accepted but no funding. While the website says they fund 6 out of 10 incoming MFA students, I was told yesterday (4/10) that they shifted to funding second-year students. Sounded like no incoming students will be offered funding.

Email said most applications ever. 10% acceptance rate across the English department with some programs (probably the MFA) as low as 3%.

The most generic letter ever. Not even specific to the English department.

I just declined their offer, going somewhere else... Staggering lit requirements but an amazing program. Hopefully someone on the wait list gets this instead.

Just declined admission offer. Hope someone else can use it.

Accepted off the waitlist with a GAship. Big decisions to make.

BU's email was by far the most polite rejection I've received.

The letter said that I'm an "alternative." I didn't even know Long Beach had a waiting list (if this is what it is). It was a nicely worded letter informing me that only 6 fictioneers and 6 poets were admitted out of a crazy good selection. I've already accepted an offer elsewhere, so congrats to those accepted! I bet the cohort's awesome!

Full funding via TAship. I'm probably going to accept. I just declined my position at Emerson for all you wait listed folks. Good luck!
