The letter said that I'm an "alternative." I didn't even know Long Beach had a waiting list (if this is what it is). It was a nicely worded letter informing me that only 6 fictioneers and 6 poets were admitted out of a crazy good selection. I've already accepted an offer elsewhere, so congrats to those accepted! I bet the cohort's awesome!
