So, I got an email for the TA competency survey in February as well but no official acceptance. Has anyone gotten word from the program officially that they have been accepted?? It's getting pretty late at this point.. Please reply!

Had two good faculty contacts, obtaining fellowship/outside funding seemed to be the admissions issue.

Really disappointed with this news. I received a personalized email about my application review. I was given the option of being considered for Spring 2019. 2A/1R/2P.

MS GPA: 3.76. Completed degree. Strong research background and strong letters of recommendation. Multiple publications. I emailed them back to remove me from the waitlist. I've already accepted an invite elsewhere.

Biology folks - I've only seen one person say they've been accepted, assuming at this point it's a rejection. Haven't heard anything, wasn't even contacted for an interview. I assume no interview means no chance anyway. It'd be nice if they'd let us know *something* though!

Should I expect rejection at this point since it's been so long from the interview?

Interviewed in January and loved the program, but was told I was a weaker candidate due a gap in research caused by health issues in my junior year. Not going to lie I'm heartbroken, but congratulations to those that got admitted.

Anybody still making a decision here? Those of us on the waitlist would be super appreciative if we could get our official rejections/acceptances before April 15 :)

To the Earth and Atmospheric Ph.D. post below, I have not heard anything either and am wondering the same thing, but for the Biology department. I'm figuring it's probably near the same process. I hope we hear something soon. I know I'm not the only one who hasn't heard from the Bio Department.

Not sure why I got contacted so late for this since the deadline for application was Dec. 1st. I really should have heard back sooner given the deadline but oh well! I got better offers anyway and this was my last choice of where I applied. Weird situation though since at the beginning of March I got an email from my PI saying she didn't know about the status of my application but then I let her know I was going to pick one of my other options where I had already been accepted. So I wonder if this is a rejection since she let them know this or if I truly was rejected. Either way I'm stupid excited for the place I will be attending so this rejection doesn't sting at all!

Not even an email - had to check the website to find the decision documents. Expected outcome given that I didn't get in when I applied in 2015. Same generic email as before.

Wasn't in the first round of acceptances and was informed after emailing them that I was on the waitlist, but got an email from Pennie today saying I've been accepted!

Email me that I am on the waiting list. To those students who got their offers but already accepted other offers, could you please decline their offer as soon as possible? Thank you very much. I really need this offer, my last hope.

Another week and no news! Seems to be a consistent thing across departments... does anyone have any clue?
