Was told 2 Fiction and 2 Poetry were taken.

Full funding plus fellowship. Cannot believe it!

Wow.

After keeping in constant contact with them since I submitted my application packet in February, I was notified over the phone that despite previous assurances otherwise, they had never received my creative samples and therefore, never reviewed my application. I was not notified of these missing materials, and since the department sent out notifications a week ago, it seems I'm rejected, though I may never get formal recognition of that either. I've written an email to appeal, but have not heard back. Unless something changes and they surprise me, I cannot state strongly enough that people should not apply to this school. Based on previous posts here about CSULB, I can tell I'm not alone in that feeling.

I contacted the English desk a week ago and was told no selections had been made yet.

I called the grad desk and was notified that letters will go out by the end of next week. It'll be interesting to find out how many have been admitted and not accepted other offers already.

I contacted their department by phone and was told that all my application materials have been received, but I would have to wait on word for another couple of weeks. I'm not sure what is happening on that campus.

Really nice email with official letter to follow. sad story. looks like I'm striking out this season.

Accepted. It's one of my safety schools, however, and I'm waiting to hear back yet from others.

Checked the website that I've been checking all along. Today it said "Denied".

Feel kind of sick.

This was pretty crushing, not going to lie...

Anybody hear anything yet? I might be losing it...
