GaTech undergrad + masters (AE). No pubs. Good GRE (90th percentile all sections), good grades. 2 years industry experience.

To the poster below. Yes, even I got a similar mail saying I have received the fellowship but not a final admit. I had applied to the EC77 track. Which track had you applied for?

I received an email today saying "We have recommended you to the Dean of Graduate Division for admission to the ECE PhD program starting in Fall 2019. " It also said this is not a final offer and the graduate division will have it's final say in my admission decision. It seems like I have been awarded a fellowship, but no admission yet. Anyone else with such a case?

Email to check status online. Admitted without interview. Currently attend CMU for MS ECE but advisor is not a professor I have met previously. Really good letters of recommendation. Research background at Sandia National Labs, NASA, CMU, and NREC. One co-first authored paper.
