Interviewed with 2 POI who both said they'd be willing to support me. discussed research at length. Was very surprised to get rejected. No feedback provided. Guessing since they are more evolutionary based program and none of the professors share specific interest in language and culture in anthro prob ultimately wasn't a great fit. still sucks

Got a nice e-mail from POI. Accepted with funding. Official offer to come later.

Western does not require the GRE - although my old scores (in the old format) were around the average 1200 for doctoral programs.rnrnMy background includes a few years of archaeological field experience combined with a few years of forensic experience, on top of my Master's degree in biological anthropology. I am working as an archaeology currently at acceptance.

Got an email with acceptance letter this morning.

General email. No reason as to why. I figured since I had not been reached out to for an IN or by my POI.

Sent inquiry email to POI, as he was undergrad thesis advisor and head of research group I volunteered at during my MSc. I was declined due to lack of funding which was an issue for several years. Disappointed as this was my main choice, but I am still grateful to be going somewhere with a great PI. 1A/1R/0W

Received a considerate email from POI stating funding is especially limited and Temple does not have the resources to support my proposed research. Official letter to follow.

Very nice email, however results were expected. None of the professors that I had contacted responded to my emails.
