Has anyone heard back from UNC Chapel Hill? Website say admits will roll from February, but haven't seen a single post here about it.

I got a email that my application status had been updated.

I posted the other FG entry; small application glitch, I was admitted to PhD program, not MR.

Sorry for the wrong post below it. They didnt send me a rejection letter but I misunderstood it at the first time. They said they will start to send a acceptance letter and continue through early April.

I emailed them to ask about my status and they sent me a rejection letter. :(

Thanks for the UNC info. I am waiting through today for news and then writing them again to ask for status by the end of the week. If I don't get anything I will be accepting another offer. it's April... they must have decisions by now, and if not there is a serious problem! My other schools are pressing me for a decision so they can send offers to wait lists.

To those who received the first round offer, please kindly reject if you have better offers. Help people who are still on the wait-list like me. UNC-Chapel Hill is my only option now!

Checked my profile yesterday which informs me that a decision has been made and I checked again today that the decision is available. No words of funding. I hope I have won one!Wish me luck(peace)

Hi all - just wanted to add my experience because UNC has been so weird. I have a faculty contact there and back at the end of february when it had already seemed like too long (since they originally told me notifications would be sent out mid february) I asked him what was going on. About an hour after an odd email exchange, I got an acceptance from them. The letter goes as follows: "We are delighted to inform you that you have been recommended for admission to the Graduate School at UNC Chapel Hill by the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Our pool of applicants this year was among the strongest in department history, and you can be very proud of your accomplishments that have led to this decision. Please see the attached letter from the department Chair for information on our offer of financial support." Anyway, I'm not even sure if I was on a 'waitlist' or was an original admit or what. Very confusing. Either way, I will be turning this offer down so hopefully that helps someone out! Best wishes.

A few from email and a few ignored me which I assume means we’re also waitlisted and they’re ignoring people’s requests to know until they have a more definitive answer; closer to the first wave’s submission date. Unc specifically told me that I’m waitlisted I hate waiting

To the two posts below, I contacted the department this week, I have not been informed to be in the waitlist, but they answered me that I have not been rejected yet. Please post as soon as you hear something

To the poster below: Did you directly hear from those schools that you were waitlisted?

If you got a better offer than UNC, Virginia Tech, UC Davis, or UC Santa Barbara and are not planning to attend any of these programs, please reject their offer. I’m on 4 waitlists :(

Has anyone heard back from the psychology master's program at UNCW/know if they have sent out acceptances?

Masters with 3.5 / 4 GPA (no publication).

I had to contact them and it was as I expected. Wait listed.
