Applied to the MS/PhD track, got a rejection. I was asked to fill out a form to apply to the MS track alone. Is there any point applying now considering so many MS admits have already been given out?

If I had known they only accepted ~8 students this season, I would never have applied for it. The application fee is quite high. Not worth it.

Got an email to check portal.

Moved from the waiting list to being accepted. It was completely due to funding availability. It was an email from the head of the Epi admissions stating an official offer will follow.

High Energy Physics / String Theory.... oh well

All my homies hate Columbia ):

Email to check portal. CME. "...your application received the most careful consideration, and that the committee made this decision after much deliberation." Gonna have give this a big X for doubt. Also, if the rumors were true about accepting only ~8 students out of 650+, I wouldn't have applied. Just throwing a little salt... I got an offer from a school that actually wants me :) Rejections like this don't define us and where we are going! Stay strong!

I've failed all the admission in this cycle. My life is going miserable now.

CME. The cycle is coming to an end now...

all around me are familiar faces

I feel like I want a refund for the application fee. I feel so robbed!!! 🤪 "We regret to inform you that, because the funding available to support new students was limited, the difficult decision was made not to accept any incoming Ph.D. students for the 2021-22 academic year. Although the number of students we are able to accept in a given year is always small compared to the number of applicants, this year we would not have been able to support a sufficient number to maintain a substantial incoming cohort."

Columbia University is my dream school and I really want to go to New York for my further study. I am an international student. If you don't want to go, PLEASE decline your offer or waitlist. Wish you all the best！！！！

**NOT A WAITLIST** Does anyone know when the next wave will be released? I haven't heard anything yet and was wondering if others had info about this, LMK!
