Accepted last month for Social Anthropology however spoke to the department administrator yesterday who informed me that the panel are meeting over the next two days to choose the nominees for the clarendon scholarship. The program was really strict about your research aligning with their expertise, and mine really didn't, so this is surprising. But I applied for the January deadline with the equivalent of a first (I'm a Canadian student) and was told my application materials were strong from advisors at my home school, so I'm fairly positive the supervision issue is why I was rejected. I applied for the MPhil in Social Anthropology as well. I rang to check my application status earlier this week. The department said the application is now at the final stage and we should be able to hear from out application outcome by the end of this week. | ||||

But I haven't been able to find much info online - I've been trying to work out if it's a generic email to everyone that meets the criteria for the scholarship or if they've selected candidates that they're interested in...
