This is an update to the results I previously shared. On March 30th, I was officially rejected from the PhD program after making the waitlist. Although I was devastated, the department recommended me for the master's program, and based on my strong record, they offered me the Dean's Scholarship. Although this wasn't the outcome I've been working toward, I've decided that I'm going to accept the offer because it's still a positive result. I feel like I can still make a strong academic and professional impact with a master's degree, and regardless, I am still proud of all I've accomplished so far. :-)

I have waited many years to receive an acceptance to a PhD program.

Accepted into Masters instead of PhD, with Dean's Scholarship. Will be declining.

TTPB, It's odd. They said they're waiting on funding information to see how many students they can accept with funding, they're gonna know by the end of the week and send out acceptances their hoping next week, so information will come soon, denied the offer due to having already accepted a more lucrative offer, hope that clarified things some more

Accepted off the waitlist with a lovely letter and a competitive offer. However, I think I am unlikely to ultimately accept.

I did not receive any notification about a decision, I'm worried that the deadline to accept other schools will pass. I tried calling them but the line just rings for 3 minutes, then hangs up. Has anyone heard anything or sent an email?

TTPB: Thank you for sharing this! May I know what is your research area? And were you in the Upper bracket of waitlist previously?

Got a email detailing their strong consideration for me for their Phd program, they weren't sure if the spot would be available due to funding limitations. Accepted another offer, hopefully opens up some space.

TTPB: have you been on the Rutgers waitlist, or did they just send a rejection now?

Getting this rejection on a Saturday lowkey ruined my weekend...

GPA is MA. Accepted with funding. 4a/0r/2p

Was accepted back in February, but just received my official offer for another school (to which I've committed). I'm a Romanticist. Hope this opens up a spot for someone on the waitlist.

TTPB, If I may ask, did you get an official rejection from the school? Or did you mail them for update?
