5a/0w/1r/4p Was definitely expecting this. I ended up re-doing parts of my application quite significantly after submitting the app for UCSD (applied primarily to MA programs so the deadline was later by a few weeks). Not too butt hurt about it. I'll likely be attending an MA program this fall and will reapply to PhD programs after that

Email from Prof. Sowaal and official notification later. It seems no funding for international students to apply before admission, and positions for assistants are adviced to be applied in the second semester. Probably accept, for it is the only positive news for me and this program seems good enough, especially for someone who wants to be trained as a teacher, like me.

E-mail says: "After a careful consideration of your application, the graduate admissions committee has placed you on a waiting list for a place in our MA program. We were impressed with your dossier; however, our program has only a small number of places to offer. It is too early to tell with any confidence. I will, of course, inform you immediately of any change in your status. Please let me know if at any time you are no longer interested in being considered for a place in our program." I'd be happy to accept an offer from them as this is my only (somewhat) positive response I've gotten this cycle. To those who are planning on declining: it would be greatly appreciated if you could decline as soon as possible! (Also, let's not clutter the results page with rants... we have a venting thread for that :/ )

Email to check portal. Offered admission to the MA program.

email to check portal. I anticipated this one.

E-mail to check portal. 1a/9r/2p.

Has anyone else not received an email yet but already has an offer on the LFY portal?

(ignore interview ) To the previous poster: been wondering about the same for a while now. I have even mailed them last week but no response. No update on the portal either. Are you sure nobody has got admits/rejections yet? All the best!

Dept. is only accepting THREE candidates this cycle. I hope those that were accepted quickly make a decision. I have no other acceptances yet. I need this waitlist to turn into a 'yes'

[NOT WAITLIST] TPB: Congratulations!!! Did you get a fellowship? Do you know whether the Prize or Dean's Fellowships are offered to MA students?

Received an email to check the portal, super excited about this program (was offered funding too)!!!!

email to check portal

accepted into masters (I will reject)

Was invited to interview, thought it went well. Only place to interview was on my couch. Guess they didn't like it. 0a/0w/6r of 9.
