I agree with the poster below that all of us who haven't heard anything are on the waitlist. It's not clear to me what exactly it means for those of us who have not yet heard anything. Just keep putting out positive vibes, and the universe will send them back. Cool Runnings to all of you guys.

TPB: I am not sure why you are discussing that subject. Isn't it crystal clear that all of those who didn't receive anything in February are waitlisted? Northwestern does like that, a few acceptances and a long waitlist after that. That's also precisely what they told me by e-mail. In any case, those who were asked about other offers earlier today most probably have better chances (they would not lose time with unlikely acceptances...). Best luck!

TPB: if you look at the notes of posted acceptances after March 12th last year, they were all on the waitlist. I am not sure but maybe waitlisting is a necessary condition for getting admitted in the second round?

TPB: I don't think so because if you check last year posts, then you will see that after a lot of waitlist posts at March 12 there are new posts about acceptances. So, my theory is that if you do not take any e-mail this may be a good signal.

TPB: I guess so because I emailed them and the reply was just "you will receive official notification by the end of this week of your status".

The list seems to be super long this year. Not good for applicants but might be good for school.

Northeastern undergrad alum, 7 years post-undergrad experience in top tier pharma, publication and conference posters, 2 years undergrad experience working in biotechs, solid to good numbers, strong LORs. Emphasized that this is my first choice. Accepted to more prestigious program already, so not sure how I didn't even get an interview. Life goes on.

Interviewed in 2/21. Hadn't heard anything since. Got the call from David E. Tolchinsky. Got my funding email in the evening.
