- "I am writing to provide you with an update on the status of your application. The PhD admission committee is very impressed with your application. However, at this time your application is still “pending,†indicating that we have not yet reached a final decision. We understand that this uncertainty is far from ideal, and we apologize for the delay. We hope to be able give you an update soon, but, realistically, it is possible that the uncertainty will be resolved only in the last week before the decision deadline of April 15. If you are still interested in our program (we hope so!), we ask you to please complete the brief questionnaire at the following link. We appreciate you submitting the form at your earliest convenience with your current information and can return to the questionnaire as many times as you need, e.g. to update your list of competing offers"
