International student with an M.Sc. from a Canadian university. I got the rejection email stating: Limited finances and supervisory capacity make it necessary for us to turn away many eligible students who apply to do a graduate program in Physics. P.S: I have talked to a potential supervisor who encourged me to apply + I am fully funded for the whole PhD from an external agency. Guys, should I petition? what should I do? they have wasted my money and time and did not give me a clear answer on what the reason of the rejection was! | ||||

I emailed the department to know about my status, expecting a rejection or wait list, and they told me that they hope to notify all the accepted candidates by the first week of April. Apparently, they changed their admission numbers last minute, so they're still deciding. | ||||
