GPA is grad.

Has anyone heard back from the MPH/RD program yet? I'm basically checking the application portal everyday but no updates. I know someone got accepted three weeks ago which made me nervous. I emailed the program but never got any response.

Has anyone heard anything from UNC for MPH/RD? Also, which portal are you checking?

I wrote to BBSP to know the status of review process. This was the answer: "Our review process is still taking place, as we have a few remaining interview offers to give out at this point. We anticipate having all of our offers sent out by the end of January. If you are going to receive an offer to interview with the program, you will be hearing from us soon. If you are not going to receive an interview invitation, you will receive formal communication of such, between the end of January and mid-February."

To the NC state poster below: How did you hear back from NCSU? Is your status changed on the application website and have you been interviewed?

They told me early this month that if I didn't receive an interview invite by mid-January that meant I was rejected, basically. Waited a few more days but finally accepted it. Didn't confirm with the program but I'm pretty confident this is what happened. Some of my stats: 4.34/5.00 GPA (top 9%), 2 years of research experience (1 year experimental in the US + 1 year computational in Colombia networking with people from Germany), 116/120 TOEFL iBT (that's percentile 99%), GRE doesn't matter since it's not required to apply to this program. At least 1 excellent LOR, the other 2 were good I guess. I think my mistake was that I didn't contact any professors. I simply applied because I was interested in their HIV research (they do a lot of that there). I already have two interview invites in very good places anyways! And not to be salty, but I had serious doubts about living in NC. Good luck!

TA paying $18,000 per academic year plus tuition plus health insurance; possibly a fellowship. Excited!

I had a minor in Math (minor GPA = 4.0) but my bachelor degree was non-Math (still STEM). I'm currently enrolled in a post-bacc program where I take advanced level math courses (not graduate level!) but not graduate level. I had 3 years of undergrad research experiences in STEM field including statistics, 2 publications with one main-authored and very strong recc letters.

Email from the department but still have to wait for the formal Graduate School admit. Currently on a MSc program in the UK after working for 2 years in the field. Had been in contact with PI and the program seemed like a good fit. Stats are from my undergrad in the US.
