To the person who commented "reek of desperation," it's actually really sad that prospective employers don't care about any of that. One of my friends who got a full ride at Duke Law, which is ranked 12, declined the offer to go to Harvard Law School at almost full price (15k scholarship spanning over 3 years). (Over half of the Harvard Law School student body pays full price to attend and Columbia Law's is about 40% -- https://www.lstreports.com/national/admissions) I do think it probably makes more sense to do that for law school or business school, but to each their own. And it is indeed unfortunate and sad that the world cares way too much about pedigree and prestige. Anywhooo, if you are not going to accept the offer, please decline!!

Contacted by professor not listed in application about interviewing 03/25/2021, he mentioned that this was late in admissions season but wanted to see if I was still interested in the program, area is applied ML and Comp Bio. Submitted application 12/14/2020, so I assume later admissions got reviewed later. ALSO, emailed admins last week and they do rolling admissions and are still in the process of reviewing applicants

Waitlisted, conducted video interview in early March. 2a/1w/1r

International student. Admitted to MASc, Structural and Earthquake Engineering.

I email the admission office today and they reply me with the rejection. So for those who have not received any message you may email them directly.

oh god, if the previous poster is any indication of the type of people who got accepted, who couldn't tell the difference between "then" and "than," then i guess... lol

TTPB: To the admitted UBC admitted student: Could you share your profile?

1 published paper, 3.89 GPA, did not take GRE. 4 years undergraduate research. A bummer, but it is okay because I found another university with PI's pursuing similar research!

Applied to PhD and got accepted into Master's. Likely will not be going. Good luck everyone!

I got accepted last month and did not have an interview beforehand. The deadline to accept your offer is 14th April, so I think that they will send out more offers once they have heard back from all of the prospective students. I hope that helps.

I was contacted and asked if I would re-consider my area of interest because no PIs are likely to take more students in those areas for this year. Anyone with same email?

Received an email with admission and funding offer, followed by a personal congratulations from a professor in the program.

E-mail that said application status had updated

finally...

*not waitlist* has anyone heard when the next wave of admissions will be released?
