Does Stanford also sends out acceptances after the visitation events? I have not yet received any update on my application yet and the visitation event is due on March 5.

no funding but feels good!

Email to check portal. Disappointed but heard they let a lot of POLS students defer last year - potentially making this class smaller.

Email to check portal received at 1:55 AM EST. Three years of research experience with two publications, five years volunteering in a leadership position at an education nonprofit, and an AmeriCorps alum. I'm pretty bummed. Congrats to everyone who got in!

Does anyone have any idea when they will release decisions? In an email the admissions office mentioned they would send out decisions before the end of February, but I'm guessing this won't be the case anymore... (wasn't waitlisted fyi)

4 years of teaching experience, honors undergraduate thesis, and research experience in Sociology. Congratulations to those admitted!

Generic and short email. No contact since submitted application. 1a/4r/5 total

To the person who answered my question regarding choosing only Stanford: Thanks, hope it works out for you. Otherwise, there is always next year :-)

0a/ 1r/ 4p I thought I had a good chance, nonetheless bummed not even getting waitlisted

Hi everybody. One important point is that there is a chain when someone rejects an offer. Say that person A is admitted both at MIT and Harvard. When A rejects Harvard offer, person B who is on the waiting list of Harvard is picked up. As B is now accepted in Harvard, he rejects his Stanford offer. This chain can potentially continue to very low ranking universities. Therefore, it is genuinely helpful if those who are admitted at high ranking universities decline their less preferred offers. Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone in the rest of the admissions process.

unbelievable. The happiest day of my life...

Does selecting the checkbox for financial aid(consideration for RA/TA/GA) lower your chances of admittance? Thanks.,

Received email to check the portal. Honored to even be waitlisted. Congrats to all admitted!

When will I be notified whether or not I have been accepted into the Physics Ph.D. program? All applicants will be notified of their application status by March 1st, 2021. Monday it is bois and grils

In at Vanderbilt, waiting for 5 other schools

Good luck! (Though I have to kinda hope that somebody rejects the offer...)
