Out of field applicant (English Teaching) founder of student org relating to literacy, lab assistant, research thesis, solid letters of recommendation— congrats to everyone else who got in!! If you are reading this for a future admissions cycle, keep calm, deep breaths, you got this :)

With a graduate recruitment scholarship. But I need a Graduate Assistantship/teaching assistantship

Just a heads-up for anyone thinking about joining: UMass Chan is currently a disaster. They’ve over-enrolled the cohort to the point where there aren't enough lab spots for everyone, so many are stuck in labs they weren’t interested in. To make matters worse, the Dean is completely indifferent to student struggles. If you have visa issues, want to switch labs, or fail your QE, you're on your own. They care only about their ambitious agenda of expanding cohort sizes and reducing time to graduation, but not the actual humans doing the work. 0/10 would not recommend.

Domestic (BC) student. 4.2/4.33 GPA

Was interviewed in January and emailed one of the interviewers. Was told that all admission decisions and waitlists have been sent out and that it is very unlikely that they will go back to the remaining applicant pool. Official rejections pending on administrative stuff.
