- Just a heads-up for anyone thinking about joining: UMass Chan is currently a disaster. They’ve over-enrolled the cohort to the point where there aren't enough lab spots for everyone, so many are stuck in labs they weren’t interested in. To make matters worse, the Dean is completely indifferent to student struggles. If you have visa issues, want to switch labs, or fail your QE, you're on your own. They care only about their ambitious agenda of expanding cohort sizes and reducing time to graduation, but not the actual humans doing the work. 0/10 would not recommend.
