Not WL. Has anyone heard from them after the first batch of admits (23rd March) was sent out? When can we expect the 2nd batch of admits to be released? Also have others from the IEOR dept (MSBA, MSOR, MSIE, MSFE) heard from then recently?

I submitted my application on January 13 and still haven't heard back from Columbia. Does anyone know if they are still reviewing? I got accepted to Berkeley and will have to respond to them before April 15th. Hopefully I can get a decision from Columbia within the next week...

Got an email today asking me to check the portal and saw I'm waitlisted. I agreed to stay on the waitlist.

Waitlisted for a while. No update yet. Anyone got any update from the school? Should I give up now?

Ignore waitlist. I saw some Political Science activity a few weeks ago. I emailed Holly (political science coordinator) on Monday enquiring about decision notification date and she informed me Political Science will hear back by Friday 9th. I also sent a generic email to GSAS admissions office and they informed me 'they could not give an exact date'. From this, it seems best to contact a specific person within the department for information. This probably applies to all departments. I hope this helps someone. Good luck everyone!

Ignore waitlist, my app is still pending despite submitting Feb 5. For those curious about the grad student strike, the grad students are pissed at the administration and refusing to pay tuition (heard through the grapevine from one of my PhD friends).

Ignore WL. Emailed the admissions department and got this reply: "We are unable to provide an exact date of when your application decision will be available nor can we expedite the application review process. Applications are reviewed by a small admissions committee. The review process typically requires 6-8 weeks after the priority deadline date for a decision to be provided. Be assured, you will be notified of the result of your application review as soon as possible." The priority deadline was Jan 15 and 8 weeks since then is Mar 12. It's been 12 weeks now and still no response :/

Guess the research field is not relating to my years of experience. Rejection is within the expectation.
