Still cannot believe it. Received an email from the department around 11:00AM CST with an offer of admission. So incredibly excited!

Fully funded for four years. Grad GPA: 3.7. One pending publication. Background in Gender Studies (undergrad) and Public Policy (Grad). One year of work with an international organization in a field closely related to my thesis project. Several internships with smaller NGOs. Two research assistantships.

accepted to mphil political theory; upload button didn't disappear when the email came through!

Quite a bit of professional experience and strong LOR. Already in a one year master's in a known university in an vaguely-related field. International profile, American undergraduate university. Very surprised and honored. I wish you good luck on your outstanding applications :)

Not a surprise. Happy they didn't make me wait until April or May to let me know.

GPA is grad. I had asked the program by email about the results and they informed that they had contacted their first round of admitted students, and also their initial waitlist. According to them, they received nearly 700 applications and are aiming for a class of about 8 funded Ph.D. students (insane). As I have not received any contact at all I understand that this is a polite rejection. This officially ends my application season. 1 A / 2 W / 5 R / 0 P

Ignore Interview - has anyone who applied for the international relations concentration heard back ?

Honestly was a bit miffed about this. I thought I had a good profile - Ivy League undergrad, good letters of rec, strong background in politics, and I thought my statement of purpose was excellent. Was not my first choice, but a bit surprising nonetheless.

Checked the portal and found the decision, email arrived a few hours later.

Ignore status pls. Has anyone who was accepted received their letter of offer from SGS (through the online application portal)?

Got an email from department chair telling me my application was still being considered. Should get a decision next week.

Domestic, lots of research/institutional governance experience, 3 publications, 6 conferences, supervisor lined up, and external scholarships/grants

Ignore "rejected" status -- I just logged into the portal (Saturday March 12th at 7pm London time) and as the prophecies foretold THE UPLOAD BUTTON HAS DISAPPEARED! It has ONLY disappeared for this application (I have two applications to different departments pending) so, the collective experience and wisdom of all previous applicants indicates that I should receive a rejection notification tonight at 2am. To clarify what this means -- when you log into the portal, your application has a button that says "Supporting Documents." If you click on that you should see an option to "Upload" additional documents. Everyone says that this "Upload" button disappears the night before you receive a rejection, which arrives in your inbox at 2am. Since I'm seeing other people receiving good news from this department today (congratulations!) it makes sense that I might also see a response later tonight.

Offered only 50% of funding
