Definitely a journey. Applied for the Nov. deadline, interviewed, decision delayed/ pooled to Jan deadline. Just received a response that I've been given an offer. Now to decide between Oxford/ UCL/ Imperial/ Edinburgh.

Congrats!!! I don't hear anything yet. Considering there are only 30 spots each year with 3 round, I assume that there will be only 10 people admitted in R2. It won't take a long time for them to email 10 people. I guess I just don't make the cut (as I wasn't interviewed either)

Accepted this morning to the MsC. 2 years relevant work experience, top rate U.S. undergrad. No mention of funding. No interview. Best wishes to all!

I applied by Jan 20, interviewed Feb 28, got an email today that said I was admitted (strangely said I was admitted without interview even though I certainly did). Good luck to everyone else, check your email! This just went out!

To the posters below saying that it's rare to be admitted without interview to the program, not necessarily. One of the presenters at the Virtual Open Day (you can re-watch the video on their site to see it) said that about 50% of MSc students who are admitted do not interview. I was admitted in R1 without an interview- I wouldn't worry just yet.

Spoken to the person in charge of the Dphil programs, absolutely terrible behavior. Made application on Jan 6th and made him aware that it's been over 9 weeks, he insisted that decisions will be made by the end of the month (over 13th weeks). If I get in, I hope the academic staff are not as rude as him.

No notification so far... I don't think I'm exceptional enough to be admitted without interview... Even miracle happened, an offer with no funding is as good as rejection.

No notification since submission. Then an email with an official letter of rejection. Expected so but still gutted...

Found this in the admission's website: Interviews are held as part of the admissions process, although some students will be admitted without an interview. If a student clearly exceeds all the admission criteria and their proposed research is innovative and can be supervised at the Oxford Internet Institute then they may be made an offer without an interview. Well there is still a chance even if you aren't invited to the interview (although it might be a slim one as only exceptional applicants would be admitted without any interview). Please keep updating guys, I'd like to hear some news about MSc at OII. I don't think anyone has had final words from them

I had my interview on 27th Feb, and was told I'd hear back in 2-3 weeks. Haven't gotten a response yet.

Nice to meet you here and thanks for sharing. I am the one who asked about funding. My sub-field is Chinese Studies and I am an international applicant too. nice to see some other oriental studies people - I got my offer in February but hadn't seen anyone else in the department yet. My sub-field is egyptology, and regarding funding, my supervisor warned me last year even before I had put my application in that funding in our department is very unlikely (though that might be specific to my field as the egyptology department has had a rough time for the past few years). That said, I am an international student as well which makes it that much harder to get funded

Also applied for 2 other courses at Oxford, still awaiting remaining results.
