I had an interview with a faulty in U-M MSE mid April. But I have not heard anything back since then.

I asked for the status of my application cause I had applied since January 15th and I got this "We have had a very large number of applicants this year and at the moment we have filled the class with as many students as we can accommodate. We won't be looking to add more unless a number of students decide not to come. I wish you best of luck in your search. regards".

4 years research experience with papers and presentations. I have a Masters. Reached out to professors before applying but didn't get a positive response. I really liked this school so I applied anyway, but the rejection was expected. Their rejection email was so thoughtful, though.
