Thought my credentials would be good enough. Guess i was wrong.

To the people accepted into USC for Fall 2018, what was your deadline to accept the offer. This info will be useful as I am still waiting on my decision. Thanks.

To the people accepted to USC for Fall 2018, what deadline did you all have to accept the offer.

Found the decision letter because I happened to check the portal. It had said no decision has been made until quite recently. Haven't received any mail from the department/Graduate Admissions Office notifying about the decision though. Could successfully accept the offer.

I am still waiting for the result.

Anyone still waiting for the results? For me, the status on quest is still "No decision has been made by the academic department". Waterloo is making us wait for too long!

to the poster below who accepted waterloo's offer and rejected USC's offer: Thank you my dude. It mentions your good and positive character that you have made your decision soon. Best wishes for you

To the posters below, thanks alot for the advice. I have decided to attend Waterloo and I will be rejecting USC offer as soon as I get my official admit letter(Monday or Tuesday).

Two yrs data analyst experience. This school is non-humane. Not even an email notice of a denial of admission and kept people waiting for months. IMMORAL.

Anyone that is on the waitlist that is still waiting for a decision? Last I heard from them was March 27th with the waitlist decision.

three weeks after the deadline

To the posters below: Wait, maybe I didn't do my homework right. Isn't NYU better ranked? Why were you or the guy admitted to Columbia waiting for USF? I know it's a great school, but the other ones are top.

To the guy confused between USC and Waterloo, I am an international student as well and did my undergrad and MSc in the Bay area. I am now moving to Canada for PhD. Do you know how much uncertainty you will have to deal with in US until you get the H1B lottery? And what might happen if you don't get it within 3 years of STEP OPT? Sure, US has a lot more opportunity but the immigration policy is often against you these days.

To the poster below, thanks for your advice, but since I'm an international student itll be hard(or impossible) for me to get the visa to work in sillicon valley, so mostly ill have to work in canada. How is the job situation in Canada? and to the poster below that, sorry, but I haven't received the official letter to decline, just email notification and that too on 2nd May. So Ill decline one of my "fu*king offers" as soon as I get the official letter of acceptance from Waterloo.

Has anyone applied to Ph.D. in CS at Mcgill and still hasn't heard back?

I don't know why they would wait so long to give a reject. They make us hope and then crush them. If you are so strict on admission deadline TAMU then please be strict on decision deadline too. This is unprofessional!
