Form rejection to come in the mail.

Riverside has made decisions, I emailed and got mine. If you haven't heard back yet, you probably haven't heard at all. As for BU, they historically don't reach out until April.

This was my first acceptance after several rejections (multiple years applying). Director sent a very encouraging email about funding and that a more final package would be discussed at a later date. Don't give up! It will happen.

Email from Amy Fleury, followed by a phone call today. Also had an email from Christopher Lowe expressing his excitement about possibility working cross-genre.

Haven't seen any acceptances from ODU. Has anyone heard from them?

Email to check portal. Was expecting rejection based on the fact that admits and waitlists had gone out some time ago. Two notes for future prospective students gleaned from applicants I know who applied this round (who knows how true these are, but I loved getting unsolicited advice from gradcafe so here you go) : (1) Apply early. Like beginning of December. It could actually have a significant impact on chances of acceptance. It definitely can't hurt. (2) Despite reputation for genre-friendliness, NC State has publicly and repeatedly said they are not a genre fiction program. Consider application materials carefully and talk about how much you love John Kessel at your peril. ;)

Just turned down my spot for fiction, so expect movement on the wait list.

Same Q as below but Boston University

Has anyone heard from UCR? I saw they've had a few acceptances but am WAITIN on that rejection.

Rejected twice from UF but not bothered lol

Well, that's it for me. Serves me right for only applying to the long shots, but you gotta try, right? 1a/8r
