RE: email methods: I also got the polite form letter email, so I guess I’d want to hear that some people only got the “check portal“ email from them this year before reading into it, as much as I’d like to.

In response to the poster below - not everyone gets that email, some receive only an email to check the portal. You must have submitted something they liked! Last year, I received that email, and this year I was accepted. Having now received many rejections (as well as a few acceptances), I know that not every school tells you they enjoyed your work or to continue writing. At an institution that is known to personalize their rejections, I received only a "thanks for your interest in our program and good luck." It's so subjective - and while that's a good thing (there should be diversity in tastes and standards so the work later is just as diverse), it can feel terribly chaotic. I hope these words help.

I posted the other day that I only saw in the portal that I was rejected. Today I got the official Camden email rejection. Has anyone else received a rejection email? Seems like in previous years, not everyone has? Also I'm unsure of whether it was a form rejection or a higher-tiered rejection. Second line is "We have read your application with great interest." Sincerely, Confused

1a/8r/0p...that's it for me! 2nd time around applying for schools. The only program I got into is fully funded and is a dream school (that I still don't know why they let me in lol), so looks like I'm going there.

I had to email them and ask about my status.

Just got the rejection email an hour ago. Form R. Now I know and can move on. The wait while knowing that I didn't get it was torturous. I won't be applying next year, seems like a waste of $$$ on a lottery ticket. Sigh.
