Nice rejection letter, but still sad :(

Regection hurts but I got into my first choice of CMU, so I’ll get over it

TPB: Field: not sure yet (not assigned supervisor). Did 2 software engineering internships, GPA 3.75 (did CS + math).

Congrats to admits: please share your field and resume.

Finally! Long-awaited for this email. Same as others - received ~$25K funding

No GRE score. Have a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering. Have done several related projects.

I had the SoP button too. Got accepted nevertheless. So don't worry about it.

If I haven't heard anything from the Columbia University Ph.D. program in CS, should I just assume that I'm rejected and move on? Anyone here got admission from the same program?

Applied to Research Based (MSCS) but got accepted to the Course Based (MSCPS) program.

Expected. No scholarship offered. Gonna reject.

To the poster below, I have the SoP button too. Seems like a design issue that they've left a button floating around.

to the poster below, would you mind sharing which school/program offered tuition remission and job offer? thank you!

In cs gars, I have decision: undecided and above it, there is written 'SoP'.Not sure why ut is written there . Is this appears in any ones case?

no interview. I'm a career changer w/8+ years of work experience in tech, but in unrelated role. Had design portfolio, but only of personal projects (and honestly they weren't anything special). this was my final program to hear back from. I applied to four, and got into 2 - including my first choice - and will take the one offering tuition remission and a job offer. If there's one thing I've learned in all of this application season, FORGET school rankings, and pick a program that fits with YOUR PROFESSIONAL GOALS! The two schools I got into were the two whose programs were closest to my focus (business + social innovation). I got rejected from the two whose strengths weren't aligned with my own - visual design (UW) and software development (CMU).
