Got into way better PhD programs: i.e. Georgia Tech and UT Austin. So, I am not sad.

Did any one hear from ece admissions

TTPB: I did not know this. Thanks for pointing out. Now, I may have to reconsider my admission.

Has anyone received any admit from UCLA in the past 1-2 weeks? Is there any chance of an admit now? I emailed them, but haven't received a reply yet.

Got RAship so Tuition waived plus stipend of 2100 USD per month

First, the checklist disappeared with only 'Upload Material' section. Later got a mail saying that a decision has been posted. Good luck everyone

Anyone see the applicant portal? Checklist is gone. Only can see the upload material. It means a reject?

Got an email to check my status at the admission portal. Admission with Dean's Fellowship.

Your application for admission to the Electrical and Computer Engineering master's degree program at the University of Michigan has been carefully reviewed. We regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission to our program. Admission to our program is very competitive, and there is usually no one factor that prevents applicants from being admitted. Our admission committee looks at your individual record such as overall GPA, GRE scores, grades in foundational courses such as calculus and physics as well as courses related to the major area that you applied to. In addition, it is important to understand that there are a limited number of spots for each major area, so your application is compared to the other applicants applying to the same major area. Some areas are more competitive than others due to the number of students applying to a specific area. I hope this provides some context on how we make our admission decisions. We will not be able to accomodate any request for specific details on your application or how to improve your application for the future. We thank you for your interest, and wish you success in your future endeavors. Sincerely, Ian Hiskens Professor and Program Chair

To the poster below: Did you have an interview? If yes, then did you have any prior contact with a POI?

TPB: They didn;t even give you MS accept?

The deadline for many of my schools including Berkeley is in 5 days and still no news from Berkeley??? Has anyone heard back from them? Thanks

Does anyone know if the admission extended the acceptance deadline or sent any email regarding the offer deferral due to COVID-19 like many other schools? I have emailed them but still haven't heard anything back.

Your application has been given careful consideration by the committee on Graduate Studies. On the basis of their recommendation, your application has been denied. We wish you well in your future plans and sincerely appreciate your interest in The University of Texas at Austin. This is your official notification. A letter will not be mailed to you.

Haven't heard anything but there's the admit website that says commit deadline is the 15th so not sure whether they've just concluded without sending replies back?

Rejected for ICS track, sad but offers from NCSU and Columbia. Missed out on a great school.

Hi. Has anyone heard from UCSB with a degree objective in Computer Engineering for the PhD program? I have not seen a lot of decisions posted here on GradCafe
