DPhil Law - informal e-mail notifying me of my conditional acceptance. E-mail doesn't mention conditions, funding, nor supervisor.

Any DPhil in Politics applicant received any updates? This whole week passed with anxiety. Almost gave up on this option... But you know I would want to see the outcome no matter how bad it gets.

Long post guy here. Once again, thank you. I didn't expect to find support here, I just needed to vent my feelings somewhere. I know Oxford does not usually provide feedback to rejected applicants, but I'll email them anyways and ask since I really have nothing to lose at this point. At the very least, I will ask them to mail my rejection in paper form so that I can frame and hang it in my room for motivation.

Its strange that the DPIR is still remaining silent without proving any updates to the MPhil Politics (Comparative Government) applicants!

To the applicant who wrote the long note concerning their rejection to ME studies. Judging by your profile, it seems like this is Oxford's loss, you clearly are motivated and intelligent, and should use this rejection as motivation. Screw Oxford, become incredibly successful in your field without them, and then send them an email later on pointing out their mistake. I once heard about a Bush administration cabinet member who was previously rejected from Harvard but accepted to Yale email Harvard admissions once he was appointed, and pointed out the mistake they made in rejecting him. Harvard admissions actually replied too. Another option for you could also be to email admissions and ask why they rejected you because your profile is exceptionally strong. I was also rejected, but will take an offer elsewhere.

Informal email from department after interview on Feb 7th notifying me of my conditional offer for the DPhil in Music. No word on funding or college placement yet.

I got an e-mail saying that my application would be re-evaluated against candidates who applied by the March deadline. I applied by the January deadline. Is there anyone else who applied and already got an offer? Does someone know this situation? Or did anybody hear from re-evaluations before?
