Applied to the PhD program in creative writing/ poetry and, like many others, only saw that it was mainly MFAs posting their results so I was getting antsy. Received a call from the lovely Barbara Hamby saying that I was accepted and would receive an email with the details in a day or so. From what she explained, this would include a full ride plus a stipend plus teaching a few classes a semester. Applied to other schools but this was the big one for me so I'll be accepting. Best of luck to everyone on their writing journey!

Got an email to check the portal where I found an acceptance! Hooray! 1a/0w/0r/8p

Received a very nice email from the program director who asked me to keep in touch!

Text message and then phone call from Mark Winegardner confirming acceptance.

no email, just checked site and saw

Text from chair to give him a call whenever I can! 1a/0w/1r/9p

Pretty bummed to get a very short form letter after I had had a long (and I thought productive and positive) correspondence with a potential supervisor.

Accepted but on waitlist for funding.

Has anyone heard anything else from the University of Oregon? I saw that someone had been admitted (fiction, via phone, no portal update) on draft. Have all of the acceptances gone out?

Email from DGS. 0a/1w/0r/5p

I didn't get an email or call from them but other people here were reporting results. I emailed the contact person and was told I'm on the waitlist.
