TTPB: So what should I make of it? I am an international applicant. The fund mentioned in the description, if I am not wrong, is for students from 'historically black universities', and I don't think I am eligible for it in any way. What I think is that they've copy-pasted the description from a previous event. Also, does that mean whoever applied to the program (PhD, MSE) is invited?

Not surprised. Yet, I wonder what kind of background is needed to be admitted...

Kind of surprised, but it wasn't one of my top choices anyways. Wishing everyone else better luck!

I have been in the finalist weekend about 25 days ago.

TTPB: I don't think this is an interview. The zoom description says "This virtual event was organized for members of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund interested in pursuing a graduate degree related to the fields of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) and Materials Science and Engineering (MSE)."

Admitted to the masters program with $15k funding instead. I knew this was coming, I'm a current undergrad and one of my professors told me (after I had already applied) that only one ECS prof was taking new students this year. It is what it is, I guess.

Has anybody heard anything for hep-th?

Surprised I got accepted into the masters program with 15k funding. Wasn't invited for an interview for PhD app.

I got an invite for "graduate program information session for prospective students interested in our Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (CBE) and Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) departments" on March 4. What does it mean?

invited to info session for prospective students on 3/4

I was invited to interview, so was hopeful about Penn. Oh well.

Got an interview , then acceptance.

The dean does not allow the department to accept Phd this year, so only masters offered. Still excited!
