Received email telling me to check portal. HEP-ex

I got accepted into both programs and asked them how many students they admitted. Princeton accepted exactly 50 students, and Yale accepted slightly more than 50. That is a 33% drop from roughly 75 admits in the previous year. There could be a slight decrease in cohort size, but not much, so that means there might be a slightly higher probability of being accepted off the waitlist. However, given the special situation of this year (especially Harvard only admitting 1/4 of class size), I suspect the yield rate for both schools would be higher. Hope that helps!

Ahhhh! Was super nervous about hearing back. Top choice! 1 interview at the end of January. Biophysics with PEB certificate.

TTPB: someone who accepted for CMT, can you provide the name of the advisor you mentioned. As far as I know, the advisors did not want any students.

Cosmology. I didn't expect this because I never got an interview, but its great to have the offer!

CMT. email to check the portal, accepted. Got rejected by MIT, Princeton, Caltech, so this offer is really a salvation for me.

I got an email telling me there was an update on my application status.

Completely surprised! No interview from department but did speak to POI before applications were due. Some research experience no publications.

HEP-ex, please reject offers if you can and dont want to go :)
