I was interviwed by Skype video call by the professor in the 3rd week of February. He was pretty much hooked with my credentials. Yet after the interview when I asked him about his decision, he said the grad assessment has just began to unfold for PhD candidates. And it will take several weeks before the issue of decision. I am an international student BTW. | ||||

Has everyone got their decisions for Wisconsin Electrical (SPML)? I have not received any communication from them after submitting my application on 15 Dec. To the poster asking about a note from POI. I also heard from my POI on Feb 26th that I've been nominated for admission and a fellowship... and that "committee will be reviewing nominations.... should know decision by March 10th". Then heard yesterday that I've been awarded the fellowship. Usually, students nominated by Profs have a high chance of acceptance, so you should be fairly confident. But then again, you never know until you get the official letter. Best of luck. | ||||

Note from POI saying that I have been awarded a departmental fellowship. Systems track. Official letter to come on Monday (March 11), but not sure whether that's a more general wave of acceptances or not. Heard last week that the committee would be reviewing nominations and would make a decision by March 10th, so this notification is in line with that. Good luck to everyone. | ||||
