I got this ambiguous email from Brown, 2 months after having submitted the application. Does anyone else get the same email? "Thank you for your application and interest in the PhD program in computer science at Brown University! We are looking for new students across all branches of computer science. Our ties to other university departments provide strong opportunities for students to conduct interdisciplinary research. PhD students can expect to receive full tuition support, health insurance, and a generous stipend. Students receive on average USD $28,000 during the 9-month academic year, with many opportunities to supplement this at a higher rate in the summer. Students in good academic standing are guaranteed five years of full academic support. We have been actively reviewing applications and will be doing a rolling admission; we have started admitting students in the first wave. Anyone who applied to MSCV or MSML or MCDS who could log in to the CMU replyforms?

Expected. Just for a try.

Had 3 interviews throughout Jan. with 3 of the professors listed in my application. Haven't heard back from any of them so far. One prof told me that first round admits come out from mid-Jan to mid-Feb

TTPB : Did anyone of the admits/rejects were for MCDS program ?

Rejected by LTI via email. Sad but as expected. It's 6.15 am EST.

Rejected via official mail but had received acceptance email from POI. Something must be wrong

I regret to inform you that we are unable to admit you into the Ph.D./M.S. in Language and Information Technologies program in the Language Technologies Institute in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. We received over 750 graduate applications this year in Language Technologies, a large percentage of which are highly qualified. However, our graduate program can support only a limited number of new students. This makes our decision very difficult, as we have to turn down many promising applicants. Unfortunately, we could not admit all applicants despite very good academic records and supporting letters.

Anyone got PhD admit in the areas Systems/Networking/Security?

Are all the MLT admits out? People applying for MS/PhD get offered MLT ad email. How about pure MLT program? Still waiting and can't log in unit#6

TTPB: Princeton usually sends out all admits together (from last few year's grad cafe data) so it should be safe to assume a rejection.
