- I got this ambiguous email from Brown, 2 months after having submitted the application. Does anyone else get the same email? "Thank you for your application and interest in the PhD program in computer science at Brown University! We are looking for new students across all branches of computer science. Our ties to other university departments provide strong opportunities for students to conduct interdisciplinary research. PhD students can expect to receive full tuition support, health insurance, and a generous stipend. Students receive on average USD $28,000 during the 9-month academic year, with many opportunities to supplement this at a higher rate in the summer. Students in good academic standing are guaranteed five years of full academic support. We have been actively reviewing applications and will be doing a rolling admission; we have started admitting students in the first wave. Our visit days for admitted applicants will be March 12, March 13 and March 14, 2020. If you are admitted, we will be in touch with more information about the visit. If you have any questions, please contact us via [email protected]. With our best regards, The faculty in the Department of Computer Science"
