I was told I was in the top group of the waitlist and they would give me more details when they have further information.

I was told I was in the top group of the waitlist and they would give me more details when they have further information.

This was my #1 choice and I am still hoping to get in. If you don’t plan on attending please turn it down as soon as possible!!

Trying to keep my hopes up because this is my top school!

I interviewed with Loyola Jan 13th. I had 2 professional recommendations and no academic letters of recommendation. I was strongly recommended by loyola before applying to get an academic recommendation but I didn’t really have any after being out of school for 3 years.

I am so confused. I recently got this email from DM. I choose him and KH as PI’s. DM’s email reads: Thank for your email. Unfortunately we will not be able to offer you an interview for our PhD Program. We received 275+ applications for one PhD slot, so it was unbelievably competitive. I hope it’s some consolation to know that we were impressed with your application. Given the strength of your application, I hope you end up with some choices for graduate school. I wish you the best, and I hope to see you in the field one day.“ Then today I received this from the coordinator “Interview invitations have not been distributed yet. You will be contacted if the department decides to proceed.” Portal has not been updated….

Interviewed on Feb 3 with a panel of 3 professors, then had a conversation with a current student right after. They said interviews would last a couple weeks to fill 6 spots.

Received formal letter by Grad Division.
