- I am so confused. I recently got this email from DM. I choose him and KH as PI’s. DM’s email reads: Thank for your email. Unfortunately we will not be able to offer you an interview for our PhD Program. We received 275+ applications for one PhD slot, so it was unbelievably competitive. I hope it’s some consolation to know that we were impressed with your application. Given the strength of your application, I hope you end up with some choices for graduate school. I wish you the best, and I hope to see you in the field one day.“ Then today I received this from the coordinator “Interview invitations have not been distributed yet. You will be contacted if the department decides to proceed.” Portal has not been updated….
