Mine is GRE ( Q: 162, V: 152, AWA: 4). TOEFL 105. SP(24). (TOEFL BEST 108)

The application page says "the program to which you have applied has recommended your admission. The decision is not final until the Graduate School performs a review of your application materials." Not sure what to expect after this. It's either NCSU or UNCC for my master's.

TPB: NCSU is strong in agri econ. But, you know, sometimes rank is just rank. You could search phd placments and professor background to decide wheteher it matches your interest.Funding is a problem for me to choose NCSU. If it cannot offer me funding, I will accept other offer.

TPB: Do you have an idea of the strength of their PhD in Economics program? Is it a very good program? They are ranked 55 by US news.

Interesting story here. First, no word from this school through February. I email them to ask for a status update and they say I will not receive an offer. So, I ask for feedback. Well, two days later I am offered a Skype interview ( I live abroad). So now I'm thinking that they've reconsidered. However, I still receive a reply to my original email chain basically saying 'we can't provide feedback, keep doing research and reapply,' with no hint that they knew I had been offered an interview. So I do the interview, it goes well, and I have a second one scheduled a week from that day. Then, the day before my second interview, I am offered admission!? However, I still proceed with the second interview and he doesn't seem to know that I'm already admitted. Overall, a very strange experience but I'm glad to be considered!

TPB: I think it is agri econ for you. my admission letter shows it's Management- Economics.

My acceptance letter said that the program offering me admission is the "Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) - CALS - Economics". Does this mean it's acceptance to pure econ or agri econ? Can someone clarify this for me? I had applied to both programs. On their website it says "the PhD program in economics is offered jointly by the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) and the Department of Economics in the Poole College of Management (PCOM)".

Has anyone heard back from them? Also, when is the decision usually released?

Got an email from NCCU this morning saying that admission decisions will be sent out within The next 2 weeks. It also said they typically invite admitted students to an information day, but because of the current situation they will email accepted students a link to an online information session. The tentative day for the information session is March 30.

Kept me waiting for months before rejection. Have better offer anyways.
