Dear all, does anyone know whether waitlisted students will be informed if they eventually do not get accepted? Also: Are there students that have been admitted off waiting list this year?

I applied in January and was informed that I was waitlisted in mid-March. I have been waiting since then. Does anyone know if Oxford actually accept students off the waiting list?

To the poster below asking about Clarendon: I was informed about a week ago. I had been put forward for ESRC at the outset, but was eventually classified as Overseas, which made that moot. About three weeks ago I was then told that I was NOT successful with Clarendon. The news was entirely unexpected and I was very close to simply withdrawing my application and moving on to an offer I had elsewhere. The letter was emailed direct from Clarendon and specified that I had two weeks to notify them of my decision. Long story short, there are still people who will be getting late offers!

To the poster below: Did you just receive funding from clarendon? I thought all funds had already been distributed! Please let me know if there is still some hope (even if it is very slim).

Heeeyy! Does somebody know about the funding from the Department of Engineering Sciences. I have written e-mails for checking the status of it, but there's no answer. Have the recipients been notified about their award? If that's the case, Congratulations to the Winners! :D

Waitlisted after being re-evaluated

To the person below - admitted students have to reply by the end of April - so I'm guessing those who were waitlisted should hear results by then (or after the deadline?)?

Hi all, I've been waitlisted in March. Applied for the January deadline, which was also the final application round. Does anyone know when they usually admit student off the waiting list?

got onto part III pure maths at cambridge but rejected at oxford for mathematical sciences, annoyed as that was my preferred option.

My interview for the AIMS program was with a potential supervisor for the DPhil EngSci as well and I have not been invited for another interview for the program, so I assume that my case could be the same. Thanks a lot!" Sorry man. I had just assumed. The same prof that interviewed me for AIMS is a potential supervisor.

Was accepted into DPhil without funding in February, and no offer of funding since then. Was nominated for a scholarship at Somerville (probably the Thatcher scholarship) but no news for a month now. Anyone here know about this scholarship?
