did interview over Skype w DGS & like 5 others, it went pretty well, 18 minutes, generic questions like "why this school...research interests...something ive read recently that caught my attention...have u worked in archives...any questions?" I should be contacted w/in 10 days bc they have to talk to other subfield professors bc there is an overall limited number of spots..Wish me luck! good luck everyone!!

To the person inquiring about the plant pathology interview submission. I acted broadly interested in a few POIs. I didn’t hone in on one. 3.7 GPA. Low GREs. 151 quant/ 157 verbal/ 4.0 writing. 2.5 years of relevant research experience. 2 more years of pharmaceutical research experience. Excellent LORs. I’m not sure if it was specifically me you wanted stats from, but I’d figured I didn’t put them in my interview post.

One of my required referees went AWOL, but I still got admitted... interesting.

4 peer-reviewed publications (sole-authored, first-authored, co-authored), 5 manuscripts under review, about a dozen national conference presentations, other research experience, fellowships, grants, etc. My research interests also fit with faculty interests.

To the poster who got admitted into the HPA program in PSU below. First congratulations! I would like to know did you mention a POI in your statement? I got an email from my POI and invited me to a phone interview with the chair of the admission committee. You said you got admitted without interview. So I am a little curious about the interview. Is this is a common practice in the admission process or some other sign?
