I received a mail for Grad Visit day today but my application status has not changed to “admitted” on the website. Is there possibility of getting admission? Cc: To those that received Grad visit day invitation, did your status changed after receiving the invitation?

Email from advisor with acceptance and information about an assistantship. No formal notification from the school yet.

Swiss applicant with a Master in Medicine from a Swiss university, already studied at ETH for a year before my degree in human medicine. 2 strong LoR (I think), mediocre SOP. No publications, thesis related to genetics (but only remotely related to statistics). Limited mathematical background but with strong grades. Extremely excited about the offer.

No interview. Admission letter mentioned that GRA and GTA funding will be notified by department only.

Several emails from department coordinator and specific professors I'd discussed in my application.

Got my first rejection today; it was a generic denial letter. I co-authored two research papers and have two summers of research experience. Tutored and mentored many students at my university. I wanted to do research in bioinformatics, artificial intelligence. Tried contacting several professors at the university before applying but never received any response. This was my safety school.
