- Got my first rejection today; it was a generic denial letter. I co-authored two research papers and have two summers of research experience. Tutored and mentored many students at my university. I wanted to do research in bioinformatics, artificial intelligence. Tried contacting several professors at the university before applying but never received any response. This was my safety school.
