When inquired, I received an email from the grad school stating that results will be out by mid-April. But what baffles me is that no one has even inquired about UMD's master's results apart from the post below. Has anyone even applied for this program? Any info on the batch size at least?

If you were accepted by Maryland but have better offers, please decline as soon as possible. Maryland is my top choice and I really want to get in to there

Mailed to graduate admission coordinator and asked about application status. Reply 'Thank you for your email! Faculty are currently reviewing applications and we hope to have decisions out by this week or early April.' Not feeling so optimistic at this point of time.

I interviewed with them back on January 15, so I'm assuming I'm not accepted at this point. Has anyone else heard from UMD? I haven't seen anything here in the forums.

A two sentence long rejection letter. No consolation whatsoever. But at least a quick response.

To the Maryland econ waitlists : I receivced an email a week ago asking if I can finance my studies if they cannot give me a funded offer. They also added that they are simply gathering information and my answer will not affect the chance of getting a funded offer nor does it guarantee a non-funded offer. I'm wondering how many people receive this kind of email. Is this positive or negative sign? :(

After submitting app on the final day of 01/15, had phone convo with prospective advisor on 02/20. No in-person interview or open house.

Applied on 02/14, application complete on 02/14. Noticed change from Under Departmental Review to Under Graduate Review. Decision became available a day later. Will not receive a notification, must check portal.

Have any MS accepts received their official acceptance yet? I'm still under "Grad School Review" even though I received the department acceptance nearly 2 weeks ago.

Got a suggestion for Master’s in Telecommunications (ENTS) program

4 years of research experience outside of statistics, but the program seems to really have appreciated that based on earlier communications. No word on assistantships yet

Got a referral to ENTS program. a program status is still 'UNDER DEPARTMENTAL/PROGRAM REVIEW' but no hope left for this school, wish you luck
