Email to check online portal, regret to inform that was not selected for admission. This one hurts as I did everything I could for this program to get admitted.

You have been selected from a pool of many competitive candidates to join the last admission round. This means you will not be asked for Skype interviews. The symposium will take place on March 31st – April 3rd, 2020 in Berlin, Germany. During these four days, you will have the opportunity to present yourself and your past research projects and will also get to know the Einstein Center for Neurosciences Berlin. 5 years research experience. I've worked at Weill Cornell for the past 3 years. Masters degree, 4 publications, 4 posters at AACR. All LOR from professors at WCMC. Pretty confused.

Sad because I connected with a professor very well and she made it sound like she was super interested in me as well. Generic email saying the application pool was strong. and they received more than 1,000 application. Low GPA but a ton of research experience. 2.5 years of post-bacc research. 3 second-author pubs, 1 first-author in revision, 2 second-author in revision - all mid-tier journals (impact factor 5-10).

TTPB: Congrats to those who have received offer! Is that a formal email or just email from PI? I’m just trying to figure out if all offers have been sent out. I haven’t heard of anything since the first interview weekend, so I’m quite nervous.
