- Sad because I connected with a professor very well and she made it sound like she was super interested in me as well. Generic email saying the application pool was strong. and they received more than 1,000 application. Low GPA but a ton of research experience. 2.5 years of post-bacc research. 3 second-author pubs, 1 first-author in revision, 2 second-author in revision - all mid-tier journals (impact factor 5-10).
