PI reached out to tell me I was admitted by the committee. Had pre-interview with PI in December.

Had a chat with a faculty via Zoom. I sent an email first, so this is not something formal I guess.

Got an email with a letter detailing offer and funding information, signed off by the head of the department. 2 years of research experience, several conference presentations and a first author publication in preparation.

Got an email accepting me to the program and inviting me to tour the campus.

Was keep in waiting list for so long.

PI interviewed me on 5th April and offered an RAship on the 11th. Will accept it. 2a/1r/2p

Received a mail stating I was selected and will be getting a offer letter soon.

VLSI and Circuit Design track

Did not appear for GRE. Had 4 conference papers, 1 journal paper, and 1 US patent. Toefl 103/ 120.

Major: Environmental Engineering. The funding decision will be notified later on. Had a few previous research experiences and publications in my field of interest. I didn't provide any GRE score.

Admitted in MSECE (Project Track) with a focus on nanoelectronics. The email said that I will receive the official letter soon.

I specifically mentioned in my SoP that I am looking for thesis track and not project track, and guess what, they admitted me to project track. Now, I'll have to get a funding offer separately if I am to move to thesis track. Most likely, I am going to reject - already have an offer from UCSD. On a side note, they mentioned that they received over 1600 applications in the email. Good luck to all.
