Contacted sunday evening by POI about scheduling a skype interview this week, told that another faculty member will also be in touch about an interview

Very kind letter, the program wasn't a great fit for me.

Interviewed for a fellowship; was emailed later in the day of acceptance but terms of offer still outstanding.

Invited to Emory recruitment weekend for interview.

Asked to interview for Graduate School Merit Fellowships

Checked MyFile yesterday which still said no decision. Checked this morning and it said reviewed-unsuccesful. At this point I am just glad to finally know and move on and work on the next round of applications in the fall.

Has anyone heard from Stony Brook? I've emailed and called...no one will respond.

To the previous poster - I'm in the same boat. I did write to the Graduate School (after not getting a response from the department), and was told many departments make their decisions in April/May. Being there are so few results here for art history, it's hard to gauge. I've peeked in other Canadian boards and other programs still seem to have people waiting; I've also read York may not notify people about being on wait lists. My best guess, then, is that we're wait listed!

Has anyone heard about this program yet? I cannot seem to get in touch with the department; I was never told I was waitlisted or rejected or anything really and I just wanted to know if anyone else is in the same boat.

I have to say, I was fairly disappointed by the unprofessional nature of the department. After a Skype interview in early February, I didn't hear anything until yesterday (April 7th). I saw that others were accepted and rejected at the beginning of March, so I inquired as to the status of my application (no notification was posted online), but still received no reply for over a month. Apparently I was on the waitlist and they just couldn't be bothered to let me know. It doesn't matter, I received much better offers, but it is a little unfortunate, since I had a high view of the department before this process.
