So in my rejection letter it says that you need to have 2-4 yrs of experience in order to be accepted to their magnificent program, which does not make much sense if you think about it. Ie they're telling me that I need to first work and THEN get a degree?? Oh well, Laurier. I will just have to accept my offer from U of T then LOL

Similar to the individual who posted earlier. I too was accepted to WUSTL and received a scholarship but rejected by my alma mater. I was definitely more excited about WUSTL but not as excited about moving out of state. Here's to adventure...

Many thanks for UW to reject me because I have accepted offer from Wash U. Moreover, more rainy days would make someone down. Honestly, you are rejected sometimes because you are too excellent! Keep positive!

early consideration application

For those of you who have heard from the social welfare PhD program, if you don't mind, when did you apply? Also, did you interview and did they discuss funding?

Has anyone heard anything yet??

MSW/PhD Kinda glad I got rejected now that I have had time to process it, but took this one personally. I was working with a faculty member there. However, he dropped off the face of the earth around the time applications were being reviewed. I had written several sections of a paper by that time. Dude coulda told me he didn't wanna work with me anymore... I believe that he felt awkward about my admissions status or something or decided he did not want to advocate for me because he felt our personalities didn't click. We just had similar interests and I enjoyed our project, regardless of my admissions status. It's not like I chose to work with him just to get in. Poor etiquette and I don't need that, so I've made my peace with this.
