- MSW/PhD Kinda glad I got rejected now that I have had time to process it, but took this one personally. I was working with a faculty member there. However, he dropped off the face of the earth around the time applications were being reviewed. I had written several sections of a paper by that time. Dude coulda told me he didn't wanna work with me anymore... I believe that he felt awkward about my admissions status or something or decided he did not want to advocate for me because he felt our personalities didn't click. We just had similar interests and I enjoyed our project, regardless of my admissions status. It's not like I chose to work with him just to get in. Poor etiquette and I don't need that, so I've made my peace with this.
