Had applied to PhD; didn't make the cut. Got offered admission to MSE but no funding; will turn it down unless I can figure out a source of funding.

Has anyone heard anything from these guys? It's almost April, yet there's no decision yet.

Have you people got the request to send the paper transcript?

My application has been "under review" for over 6 weeks, so I emailed them to ask when the MEng results would be released. And they said that answers should start coming out on Friday March 26th!

Got a 'Decision to Admit' email a day after the waitlist email. My concentration is Fluids & Ocean Engineering. Financial support not guaranteed, have to search for a RA position.

3.5 years working experience Had not taken GRE test IELTS test: reading 8.0, writing 6.0, listening 6.5, speaking: 6.0

I am a bit confused. Good gpa, strong recommendations, 2+ years of research experience during undergrad. I have co-authored 3 articles in good journals as well (IF >5). I come from a top 10 university in my country

Finally admitted after applying since October. I was really stressed in sending their required documents and sent many emails. I will decline, I already have a fully funded offer in a top school. Good luck to those waiting, admits are going out now. I have 1.5 years of work experience and no publication.

Accepted with 1-semester teaching assistantship, a 1-semester fellowship and non-resident tuition waiver for whole year. It says here that the non-resident tuition waiver allows non-resident to pay in-state tuition. Does it mean that I still have to pay tuition? And also the TAship doesn't seem to be guaranteed for next semester, so it's very sketchy. I was under the impression that all admitted PhD students are guaranteed to be fully-funded for the whole duration of study. I did have one interview with a professor last month but it didn't go very well. The email only includes funding offer, and they say the admission offer will come later this week. Do I need to find an advisor by myself WHILE doing TA?

TTPB: To the person who received waitlist notification, did you mean they said that the admission decision would be released by next Monday? Did you get any information about their timeline? Thanks

Has anyone who applied strictly to the MS/PhD program (not MEng or PhD) heard back yet? I applied with the intention of a masters but I'm not sure whether my application went into the pool of direct PhD admits instead.

TTPB: I have not received the details of the MS admit day either, I'm glad I'm not the only one 😅 I hope they send it today, and congrats btw! :)
